Cafe Tai Lei Loi, Serradura @ Rua da Cunha

We headed to another side of Rua da Cunha with 2 rows of shoplots selling goodies and restaurants as well. As along the road, we spotted this shop selling serradura, one of famous and traditional Portuguese-Macanese pudding. But the shop we went is not the one which is famous with the serradura. The original shop is just 2 lots aways. Since we already tried the first shop and found it so so only, so we never bother to give a try anymore!

Yummm...yummmmm.....my pork chop bun!

After we visited Taipa Museum, we went to Cafe Tai Lei Loi Kei, which is just beside the museum for their famous pork chop bun. Apart from the Pork Chop bun, they do serve other snacks as well as drinks. However, you can never say that you have eaten here unless you have had their Pork Chop Buns. The Pork Chop Buns usually start selling at around 3pm and tend to sell out before 5pm. Also, expect a queue for purchasing these buns. However, hubby is lucky enough as he just need to queue less than 10 minutes and at that time, TVB is doing some shotting! Yeah!! U may see our face in TVB movies...hahaha!










The Pork Chop Buns served here have a crispy exterior and a juicy pork chop right in between the bun. They also have new varieties like the Pork Chop Pinapple Bun and a few others but first timers definitely have to go for the original. The price for each bun cost about 10MOP/HK.

Desserts @ Gelatina Mok Yi Kei



Having desserts always our 1st priority on every trips. After sampling all the goodies from Koi Kee Pasteleria, we went to this famous shop selling durian ice-cream and puddings which is located at the end corner of Rua da Cunha. The ice-cream was fantastic and the durian taste was so perfect.













































Taipa Rua Da Cunha @ Macau

Taipa Rua da Cunha (the Portuguese for Cunhua Street) is a narrow but bustling street in the centre of Taipa Island. There are countless famed restaurants in Taipa Rua da Cunba Street that will provide you with plenty of traditional Chinese cuisine, especially Cantonese cuisine, and exotic cuisine like the Portuguese style, Italian style, French style and Korean style. Walking in the street, you don't have to worry about going hungry, the persistent sellers will keep offering you samples of their food as you walk from one shop to another. Anyway, you won't go back from the street with an empty stomach or empty hands, there are still a lot of shops selling dim sum like almond cakes, phoenix egg rolls, coconut flakes, and peanut candy. You can buy some of the dim sum back home for your families or friends

Pastelaria Koi Kee @ Macau

There are a lot of small bakeries around the islands in Macau and Taipa. Taipa Village have a Food Street or known as Rua Da Cunha.


Those bakeries making goodies, peanut candy,egg rolls and they will be preparing in front of you. Bonus is they will let you take some bite, (or a lot...) so you know what flavor you like, to purchase.......Pastelaria Koi Kee, one of the famous bakery in Macau got one branch in Taipa (Rua Do Cunha) and 5 more in central Macau..


Their specialities are Almond Cookies, Egg Rolls and Peanut Candy with different variety buy a lot, it really taste yummy! When I was sampling the goodies, of their staff offered a piece of almond cookies from the big tray of cookies and first bite........ohhh....no! It's like love at first bite! It was so tasty. The almond nuts are so chruncy, and full of almonds.....and the peanut candy are so chewy. We bought alot of goodies back from Koi Kee. Its also a nice souvenir to friends as its only made in Macau, and its not that expensive, One small pack (vacuum sealed) is about 15 patacas and regular packs is 25 patacas. On the same stores, they would be selling some dried meats and my hubby bought back some boar meat. Taste wise, a bit weird and the texture is very hard. We still prefer the local version!

Restaurant Hai Peng @ Macau

It was my first trip to Macau. I went there with my hubby for a short break on 1-3 December 2009. We never thought of bring our kids together because Macau is not famous for their tourist areas but is more on gambling.

We reached Macau Airport at about 10.30am and it took us less than 1/2 hour to clear from custom. Then we take public bus to reach our hotel, Best Western Taipa. This hotel is located about 10 - 15 minutes away from the airport and it is very convenient. However, the hotel is quite old and the mattress are so hard, feeling like sleeping on the floor.

After dropped our luggage at the hotel, we immediately look for foods!! We keep on asking the locals where to find a good place for breakfast. So, we went to this restaurant ????? to had our breakfast, wantan mee. The noodles are so springly and soups are very nice, the prawn wantan are superb big and juicy. The yin yong tea was so thick and nice.

We went back again on the day before we depart back to KL!

New House

Finally me and my hubby decided to move out from our existing house and move to somewhere near to Klang town.

But the construction of the newly house will only completed in 2 years from now. No choice, have to wait lor !!!!!!!

Kuang Fong Restaurant @ Klang

After finished buying some groceries from Jusco, we went to Kuang Fong Restaurant at Klang, Jalan Meru to have our late dinner.

When we reached there, they was not much table already since it was 10pm but if you come during lunch time, it will be fully packed and you need to wait for a long queue.

Once seated, we ordered their famous mee sua with oysters, fried chu hun ken or tapioca noodle(aka hokkien mee) and war tan hor and drinks. My hubby and sons like their mee shua very much as the mee shua texture is different from what we normally buy to cook which is more soft. The friend chu kun ken was full of wok hei but the war tan hor is a bit watery and not much ingredients.

Total damages for the dinner was RM30+.

Finally I bought this Buffalo Smart Cooker which is very very expensive; cost me RM798.

A lot of my colleagues and friends tell me that this rice cooker is really 'Smart'..thats why they called it Smart Cooker.
